AeroAstro Welcomes R. Clayton Smith and Stanley O. Kennedy Jr.

PHOENIX, February 28, 2008 -- Radyne Corporation (Nasdaq:RADN) has announced that its AeroAstro, Inc. business unit has welcomed R. Clayton Smith as the Vice President of Engineering for Communications and Sensors at AeroAstro. He is responsible for the overall technical direction of the Communications and Sensor Systems (CASS) sector of the Company, and managing new product development and technical execution of commercial and Government programs within CASS. Prior to joining AeroAstro, Mr. Smith was the CTO and VP of Engineering at Picosecond Pulse Labs (PSPL), where he directed all of PSPL's development efforts. Before that he worked for 25 years at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) as a Technical Staff Member and Section Leader for Electronics and Electro-optic Engineering; he remains a Visiting Guest Scientist at Los Alamos. In his career at LANL, Mr. Smith managed teams of engineers and scientists in the development of novel electronic and electro-optic instrumentation from component to large system level. Mr. Smith is a recognized expert in analog and RF circuit design with over 40 publications and patents.

In Addition, Stanley O. Kennedy, Jr., joins the AeroAstro, Inc. business as the Vice President of Advanced Systems. Mr. Kennedy's extensive small satellite, launch vehicle, upper stage, and ground systems experience coupled with mission domain knowledge in military, intelligence, civil, and commercial markets will support AeroAstro's development of innovative solutions for key customers in government and commercial space markets.Mr. Kennedy has over 22 years of applicable experience in the space industry. His areas of expertise include program management; advanced product development, strategic planning; systems engineering; and systems integration. Prior to joining AeroAstro, he served as the Senior Program Manager for developing innovative small satellite systems and concepts for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Denver, Colorado.
