Messenger Monitor and M2M Data Portal Now Available

Ashburn, VA, October 9, 2006 /AEROASTRO, INC./  AeroAstro, Inc., a microsatellite and communications technology pioneer, today announced the availability of the new Messenger product.  The Messenger is a low cost monitor designed to transmit alarm notifications and instrument data from remote locations.  It is a rugged self contained unit with a NEMA 4 rated enclosure.  This complete solution performs in harsh industrial conditions with operating temperatures from –40c to +70c.

The system’s compact size, built in antenna and user friendly programming features allow the unit to be used in a large range of portable and permanent applications.  The Messenger can connect with a variety of devices including gauge boards, level switches, pressure switches, electronic gauges, temperature sensors, motion sensors, and AC & DC power. The Messenger can be combined with AeroAstro’s Integrated Voice Messaging Service (IVMS) for additional field optimization.  With IVMS, field operators will receive a voice alert when production-crippling failures occur.  Additionally, they can acknowledge the alert, discontinue the alert transmission, and exert greater control over the remote unit right from the telephone.
